It is a busy weekend for fifteen-year-old Christian Weir as he will find himself back behind the wheel of a Turn 3 Motorsports prepared Tatuus US-15 this coming weekend at the famed Barber Motorsports Park. Taking part in the second event weekend of the Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship, Weir will look to add to his results resume after a top-ten result on the Street of St. Petersburg in early March.
“We had a good test here a few weeks ago so I am confident heading into the weekend,” explained Weir. “It will be a big difference from the barriers and tight confines of St. Pete but is the perfect place to score my first USF2000 win and that is what I will be shooting for!”
Throughout the test, Weir was able to show his pace and consistently run near the pointy end of the time sheets. Taking time to try setups but also learn the characteristics of the track and where it is possible to pass and not, Weir will look to carry that experience and momentum into the race this weekend.
Weir added, “I have my goals set high this weekend. A tenth-place result in St. Pete was good, but a top-five or a podium is on my radar. I have the equipment and team to score the results, I just need to put it all together in Alabama.”
Christian Weir would like to thank all his 2022 partners for their continued support. A huge shoutout to Ferguson, ProFlow, eComfort and Motorcars of Palm Beach. A huge thank you to both MDK Motorsports and Turn 3 Motorsport for all the help and support in running a dual series program.
